The Mount Snow - Wilmington region is home to Vermont’s southernmost ski resort, Mount Snow, which has 19 lifts and 107 trails. The picturesque village of Wilmington is a small town with ample shopping and dining opportunities, while local lakes offer water-based recreation opportunities.

Outdoor activities at or near Mount Snow include downhill skiing and snowboarding, cross- country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and golfing at one of five golf courses in the region. For those interested in hiking, opportunities range from vigorous hikes on the Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail to gentle walks along Lake Whitingham, which offers a public swimming area. Lake Raponda offers boating and fishing, and is a popular spot for summer vacation rentals.

For a town of just over 2,000 residents, Wilmington has many cultural offerings. Many artists make the village their home and have studios in town, and the streets are lined with many unique stores. Wilmington is also home to the Memorial Hall Center for the Arts. Each summer, the Center offers a cultural arts series and a community theater production. The Marlboro Music Festival offers concerts in the nearby town of Marlboro. Also in Marlboro, located on the Hogback Mountain scenic overlook, is the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum.

This region is easily accessible from airports in Hartford, CT, Albany, NY, and Boston, as well as Interstate 91.
