Originally part of a large dairy farm, this 200-year-old farmhouse (known locally as the Carver house) was completely renovated in 2007 and was used for many years as the set for a public television cooking show. The property includes a large horse barn, a dairy barn, an antique brick smokehouse, and a milk house. The house is located near Manchester, Vermont in a small, classic New England village.
The kitchen is complete with DCS ranges and ovens, Kohler sinks and fixtures, and has a wonderful view out back of the barns and meadows. The dining room is capable of accommodating at least a dozen guests, the living room has a working fireplace, and there is a mud room, wraparound & screened-in porches, and a brick patio off the back.
The home is chock-full of antiques. It comfortably sleeps 10, in 4 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and 2 of the bedrooms include twin beds. We also have two twin air mattresses available as well as a crib and a pack 'n play. There are 2 1/2 baths -- both full baths feature beautiful tiled showers and one includes a separate bear-claw tub. There is also a full laundry in basement (washer & dryer).
The home contains a Google widescreen TV with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime Videos, a DVD player, Direct TV service, and general high-speed wifi access throughout the house. Phone for local and long distance calls. Alarm clocks in all bedrooms. Hair dryer, local maps, and firewood also provided.
