Charming cottage just feet from beautiful Lake Dunmore in a pretty wooded setting on the south end of the Lake. Great views of the Green Mountains across the Lake (leaf peeping in the Fall!). Dunmore is a clean beautiful lake, wonderful for swimming and boating. The cottage has a living room w/wood stove (wood provided) which warms the whole cottage in cool weather, and a large, comfortable screened porch for dining and lounging. Two bedrooms – one w/queen bed, one w/twin beds – sleeps 4. Up-dated kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, etc. provided; BBQ grill; DVD. Gentle beach right beside the cottage, large grassy lawn for sunbathing or games. Hot water outdoor shower (shower inside too). Fishing. Canoe, rowboat,kayaks. Hiking, biking nearby. No smoking. Pets: 1 dog permitted.

The nearby picturesque towns of Middlebury and Brandon offer good restaurants, bakeries, galleries, antiquing, and shopping. A golf course is nearby. Vermont is the center of the artisanal food movement: farmers markets, cheese trails, orchards, berry picking, and microbreweries are all close by.

Lots of hiking nearby on the Long Trail. The cottage is a great base for day trips to Shelburne Museum, Lake Champlain, Stowe, Burlington, Fort Ticonderoga, the Adirondacks and more.
