Walking paths follow the shoreline along this historic point. Our turn-of-the-century camp is rustic with some modern amenities. The location is pristine. The living room opens onto a wraparound porch overlooking the lake. We offer a rowboat, canoe, 2 kayaks, private dock and boat mooring. There is a boat launch 2 miles from our house at Point Bay Marina. Great biking on country roads.

Sit on the wraparound porch and watch the sailboats cruise past the camp. There is good swimming and fishing from the shore.

4 bedrooms and a small porch upstairs, 2 baths (one with old-fashioned footed tub upstairs, one with shower stall downstairs), fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, pantry, dining room, living room with fireplace, books and games. There is no TV. There is a Weber grill and wireless access. A Rennai wall furnace provides warmth off season.

The sleeping arrangements are as follows: 1st bedroom has a king bed; 2nd bedroom has a queen bed; 3rd bedroom has two twin beds and a working sink; 4th bedroom has one double bed and two twin beds. Good mattresses. Linens provided. No dogs. No smoking.

Shelburne Museum, town beach, supermarket, fun stores, restaurants and golf course 10-15 minutes away in Shelburne.

Peak season: June 28-August 30, 2014: $3,000 weekly, plus 9% Vt tax and $100 cleaning fee

Foliage season: September 1-October 12: $1,800 weekly, plus 9% Vt tax and $100 cleaning fee

Rental period is Saturday to Saturday.
