Goldilocks Cabin is the ideal setting for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway. This lovely cottage, nestled on 4 wooded acres, is located just 1 mile from Stowe village. Interior decorator Wendy Valliere's inspiration for this little gem (originally her own ski cottage) was that of a Bavarian ski lodge. Well appointed with Black Forest and French antiques, hand loomed rugs, and lush draperies, this cottage does indeed transport the visitor to the Austrian Alps.
The piping hot woodstove and the chiming cuckoo clock make this cottage a cozy retreat after a day of hiking or skiing. The cabin has a great room with living, dining, kitchen and entry. The master suite has an antique four poster bed, complete with custom bedding, and a sitting room. The sleeping loft has a full-size bed, and the living room has a sleeper sofa. There are also 2 decks and a barbecue grill, washer dryer, fully equipped kitchen, high speed Internet access and unlimited calling in the US and Canada, and a shed for ski storage. Fine linens and towels are supplied along with all of the amenities to make your stay comfortable. Our guests appreciate our attention to detail and have often mentioned this as the reason their stay at Goldilocks Cabin exceeded their expectations.
