Step back in time in this picture-perfect vintage two-bedroom cottage at lake's edge with private sandy beach. Enjoy the sound of lapping waves and the stunning Eastern views from the master bedroom or from the living room's sliding glass doors, which open onto a large deck where you can eat, charcoal BBQ or relax in the sunshine watching the birds, wild turkeys, ducks, beavers, deer and red fox.

This all-season cottage can accommodate 2 to 6 people comfortably. The large bedroom has a full size bed, the small bedroom has two twin beds (can be pushed together) and the living room has a pull-out sofa bed. Baseboard heat and wood-burning stove for chilly nights. Blankets and pillows are provided; please bring your own sheets and towels.

There is one full bathroom with a shower, and a well-stocked full kitchen (no dishwasher). Also included are telephone with free long distance, satellite TV, DVD/VCR and portable CD-radio.

Summer activities include VAST trails, biking, hiking and of course water sports, including terrific bass and trout fishing.

Only ten minutes to downtown Newport with its antiques, restaurants, golf course and marina for boat launching or rental. Other day trips include: 30 minutes north to Quebec's charming Eastern Townships (Magog is delightful), or northwest Vermont's Jay; 1 hour southwest to picturesque Stowe; or head 1.5 hours northwest to fabulous Montreal.
