About Lake Willoughby
On this 1,700 acre, spring-fed glacier lake, the Vermont record lake trout (36 lb. 2 oz.) was caught in July 2003. Native speckled, brown and rainbow trout populate the lake, along with land-locked salmon.
Nearby find miles of biking & hiking trails, golf courses, restaurants, country stores, antique shops and gift/craft shops. Explore the many miles of scenic, back country roads in the Northeast Kingdom or take one of the most popular day trips: Stowe (1 hour), Burlington (2 hours), Montreal (2.5 hours)or Quebec City (3.5 hours).
