New Pine Cottages on 70 Acre Wilderness Ponds – Symes Pond
Wilderness setting in East Ryegate, Vermont. Horseback riding is available. Super fishing for perch, pickerel, horned-pout (catfish), small mouth bass, wall-eyed pike. Watch for loons, beaver, and moose as you explore two adjoining ponds, 70-acre Upper and Lower Symes, bordered by 500 acres of forest with miles of hiking trails, all owned by your hosts, the Blaisdells.
There are only three cottages on Symes Pond, private and secluded from each other by forest. Each is located directly on the pond with spectacular views from their front porches. These new knotty pine cottages each feature a cathedral ceiling, glass front woodstove, satellite TV, VCR, full kitchen, gas heat, 2 to 3 bedrooms plus loft sleeps eight, and private beach for each. Our Moose Landing cottage features an outdoor hot tub overlooking the pond. Canoe, rowboat, paddle boat, linens, firewood provided. A nearby Verizon tower provides cell phone service as well as internet access with a proper mobile card. Only ten minutes off I-91 near St. Johnsbury. Please contact us for availability.
