HIGHWINDS LODGE & COTTAGES on Lake Dunmore
We, at the HighWinds, invite you to experience the awe Lake Dunmore has to offer.
Referred by many as the ‘Hidden Jewel’.
Whether you are 2, 6, or families wanting to vacation together, accommodations are all set for you and your group.
Tucked under mature pines & oaks our timeless cottages are spacious and well appointed. Built in the late 1920’s, renovated for today, each of the 3 cottages offer open floor plans, raised ceilings, screened porches, and private yards. Each yard has a gas grill, picnic table, and fire pit. For pure enjoyment of your country surroundings plan meals on the porch and listen to the simple sounds of summer all day long. No two alike, each cottage has a personality of its own, accommodating 4-7 people. Our private dirt road purposely has a 5 mph speed limit. Hand in hand with those you love it’s a leisurely 30 second stroll to the beach.
Our modest community of cottages is fortunate to have 100’ of private sandy beach with a gradual descent to deep water, swimming float & boat dock. We are located just inside the North Cove of Lake Dunmore with water so clear you can see schools of little fish swimming around your feet! Never tire of watching the parade of boats pass by while relaxing on the beach!
Bring your provisions, we provide the following; full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, gas stove, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils. Bed sheets are supplied with beds made upon your arrival.
