Stephens’s Cottage at Potash Bay is “Simple But Quaint,†with everything you need for a great vacation on Lake Champlain: private beach, swimming, fishing, rowboating, tanning; hiking, biking, reading, or napping on the two porches. The pebble beach features a low grade for easy and safe water entry; faces West for sunsets in the Adirondacks; includes aluminum v-bottom rowboat, dock for sunbathing, a mooring for your boat. Fishing is excellent off the point. The cottage is ideal for children and pets. Note: The Beach is accessed by wooden stairs.
The classic 1940s white, two-story cottage is on a tree-shaded lot with extra side lot for games. Trees screen it from neighbors on north and the county road. The interior is equipped with modern stove, refrigerator, and water heater; features colonial fireplace and separate dining room with harvest table. Furnished with old-fashioned baking cupboard, commodes, and Adirondack chairs. It has WIFI and CD player, no TV or microwave. Bedrooms and bathroom are reached by stairs: two double bedrooms, a children’s room with three twin beds, and the bathroom with shower. Two porches - one is screened (pictured), overlooking lake for dining and sleeping. The other is open - for breakfasts in the morning sun. Fully furnished except for linens. (Bring your own linens for bed, bath, and beach.) Cottage is outfitted for 6 persons; extra charge for additional persons who stay overnight.
Nearby are two early American Forts, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Morgan Horse Farm, The Black Sheep Restaurant, Basin Harbor Club, Middlebury and Vergennes for shopping. In Addison are West Addison General Store, Champs Trading Post, and Champlain Bridge Marina and museum.

One-third downpayment of rent plus tax, will reserve your vacation week. (Not refundable within one month of rental.) Full payment upon arrival, plus a returnable damage deposit on separate check, of $150. Written confirmation will be sent with map and driving instructions. Damage deposit is returned after departure.
