Summer House with Mooring on Lake Champlain Near Burlington

The Cedar Camp, Colchester, VT, is a Summer House located on Porters Point, a peninsula surrounded by Lake Champlain's outer Mallett's Bay. The property includes 50' of deeded rights to a beach which is shared by the owner and two other families. From the beach, you can see Mt. Mansfield to the east and the Champlain Islands causeway to the northwest.***** Residents of the Point are a friendly and close-knit community where properties tend to stay in the same family for generations. Historically all the houses were small summer camps, but now the houses are a mix of the old camps and new year-round homes. The new iteration of the Cedar Camp was architect-designed and constructed in 1991. The living area is open space with a Hearthstone gas stove for heat and modern well-equipped kitchen. Off the living room through French doors is a large screened porch with wicker sofa and chairs and a bistro table and chairs. Elsewhere on the first floor is a bedroom with twin beds and a loft, and a bathroom with tub, washer and dryer. A third roon is used as an office The second floor is the master bedroom with queen-size bed, large chest of drawers, double-door closet and 3/4 bath. Of course there is WiFi. ***** Amenities and necessities are nearby. It is an easy walk to a town park, a short bike ride to the causeway with views of the Green and ADK Mountains, access toe the bike trail into Burlington, a sailing school, grocery stores, two boat launches - even a drive-in theatre. The heart of Burlington is only about 10 miles away, hiking in the mountains about an hour away, and cosmopolitan Montreal can be explored in a day trip. A one-week stay may not be long enough!

The summer house is available for weekly rental from May through Columbus Day in October. The rental rate for July through Labor Day ("prime season") is $1500 per week. The rental rate for all other weeks is $1250. Any stays for less than 31 days are subject to a 9% VT rooms tax and 1% Colchester town tax on the amount of the rent. Full payment is expected in advance to reserve the Summer House. Your payments made to guarantee a reservation which is cancelled will be refunded only if the Summer House is subsequently reserved by another party for the time you reserved and cancelled.
