Kayak, canoe and rowboat included for 100+ acres of pristine wilderness Lake Ninevah less than a mile away. Hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, golf and tennis all nearby for summer and fall foliage vacations. Ten minutes to Okemo, 1/2 hr to Killington or Bromley, local x-country ski and snowmobile trails abound. All amenities from laundry room to satellite dish.
LESS THAN THREE HOURS FROM BOSTON and LESS THAN FIVE HOURS FROM NEW YORK CITY note: the "Ethan Allan Express" on Amtrack runs daily from Penn Station to Rutland, Vermont, just 20 miles from the house.
A perfect size group would be anywhere from just one couple up to two or three adult couples with maybe up to five or six little ones.
While there are only two "conventional" bedrooms in this vacation home (one of which is part of a self contained (but included in rental) "mother-in-law apartment" on the lower level), there is also an enclosed queen size sleeping loft..and a small (queen) additional bedroom that we call "the cave" because the roof of the house slopes down into it...kind of like sleeping in the cabin of a boat..minus the motion of the ocean.

This vacation home is available year round and has every amenity from satellite dish to high speed internet.
Non-holiday rates are $975 per week in summer and $975 per weekend in winter. Holiday rates vary and are available upon request. You get the entire house for the quoted rates, regardless of the number of people in your group.
Other than the 9% "Meals and Rooms Tax" demanded by the State of Vermont, and a fully refundable security/cleaning deposit (usually $200), there are no additional charges of any kind at any time. Linens are provided. All utilities (including propane filled BBQ tanks), firewood, plowing and sanding of the driveway in winter are all included in your rental fee.
