A great place for families with children - it's almost like living in nature! Swim, fish, kayak, explore, catch frogs, build camp fires, tell stories, read, relax, grill marshmallows, make beautiful art, play games, skip stones, pitch a tent for kids to camp under the stars, ride bikes, and more!
All Camp Cedar Cliff cabins are unheated and have original unfinished wood walls and ceilings, painted floors, wavy glass windows or screens, and ceiling fans. The cabins are sprinkled with items from 'yesteryear' such as old cooking stoves, bathtubs, sinks, lamps and furniture. Each cabin is equipped with refrigerator, stove, sink, dishes and silverware, pots and pans, microwave, toaster and coffee machine.
The largest cabin, Grey House, has 3 bedrooms, one with a single bed, one with a double bed, and one with two twin beds. The main part of the cabin has an open floor plan. The kitchen/dining room has a 1940s gas stove and a round table that seats six. The living area has a trundle bed and built-in corner seats that can sleep 4 more. There is one bathroom with flushing toilet, sink, shower, washer and dryer. The back screened-in porch has a large table for eating, games or projects, and is the perfect place to watch sunsets over the lake. The front screened-in porch overlooks a large yard perfect for lawn games, outdoor grilling, or lounging in the sun.
Basswood and Red Oak, two small cabins, each have a small kitchen area with dining room table & chairs, screened porch with seating, bedroom, and bathroom with composting toilet, shower and bath.
Owners use the Big House, the property's original two story camp closest to the point. The Grey House is closest to the shared path to the beach. Between the two small cabins is a stairway to a dock with a wheel crank boat lift, which is available for use.
The boathouse on the beach has swimming floats, small dinghy for fishing or rowing, a canoe, several kayaks, a small sail boat, and multiple sized life jackets. There is a dock at the beach and a swim platform anchored about 60 feet from the shore. If needed, a golf cart is available to take someone from a cabin to the beach.
Guests provide their own bed linens or sleeping bags, paper products, and food. Flexible check-in and check-out. Guests are expected to leave the property in the same condition it was when they arrived.
Kid-friendly well-behaved dogs are welcome (no incessant barkers please).
