The house is all by itself up the hill. We back up to the railroad tracks and many guests have commented that they have enjoyed hearing and seeing the train go by. The house features hardwood floors throughout. All the bedrooms have seating, closet, quilt rack, and dresser so guests may unpack. Bed linens are provided, there are lots of towels in the bathrooms, and the kitchen has everything from crock pot to waffle iron. Please ask if you need anything special. There are two hair dryers, and an iron and board. The large flat screen TV has satellite service and a wii console, with streaming Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. WiFi is DSL by Fairpoint (phone service.)
Open all year and available by the night (2 night minimum,) week, or month.
Nightly rate $300, + cleaning fee $100 + Vermont rooms tax 9%. Weekly rate $1,250 plus cleaning fee, plus Tax. Monthly rate $2,500 total. Some monthly rate discounts possible January through April and November.
We call it the Elderberry Lodge named after the berries growing wild on the property. The house turns 100 years old in 2017, but its relative age is much younger based on our completing renovations in 2010.
Laundry is in the walkout basement. The first/main floor has one queen bedroom which is directly across from half bath; an open floor plan with formal dining room; chef's kitchen; spacious living room with excellent lake views, queen sleep sofa, TV, and porch. Porch extension leads to the gas grill, and beyond to the little fire basin. Upstairs are three more bedrooms (1 double bed 2 queen) and two single person sleeping options plus full bath & master private bath with shower.
